Damiano Fuschi

University Professor

I am Assistant Professor in Comparative Public Law at the University of Milan, where I hold the National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor, and a Lecturer at the University of Insubria.

My background combines legal practice with rigorous academic training: I hold degrees in Law and International Relations, a PhD in Public Law, Criminal Justice, and International Law from the University of Pavia, and I am a Visiting Researcher at the UCLA School of Law in Los Angeles.

My academic work deeply informs my legal expertise. I teach courses in English on “Public Health and Sustainability” and “Global Constitutional Law,” as well as Italian courses on Constitutional Law and Political Languages. Furthermore, I lead Working Group 1 (“Diplomacy for Science within technological sovereignty and governance”) for the European COST Action CA24169 “Science in Diplomacy Network.”

My professional focus centers on the intersection of law and technology: specifically Privacy, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and the digitalization of Public Administration and Healthcare. I also possess specialized expertise in health and environmental law from a comparative perspective, serving as Director of the “Centro Studi di Diritto ed Economia.”

I regularly speak at national and international conferences and serve on the Scientific Committee of the Rivista Giuridica dell’Ambiente. My full list of publications is available here.
